Thank you for visiting our LBC page! Drs. Holly and Sean Matteo have been serving the Lowcountry for 9 years by delivering the highest quality Chiropractic care available. Our primary goal when you visit our office is not only to meet your expectations but to exceed them. We accomplish this by doing things differently. We book our appointments every 30 minutes which allows us to spend the quality time needed to prepare your body for the chiropractic adjustment. We can deliver the adjustment several different ways: traditionally using Diversified technique, Thompson or drop table, Cox flexion/distraction, Activator using the Impulse Adjusting Instrument, and craniosacral. It is our goal to get you out of our office as quickly as possible and on a regular maintenance schedule. If you choose we will evaluate your diet, nutrition, exercise, sleep habits, water intake etc. Our approach is aimed at reducing the many forms of stress that bombard our bodies every day. The root cause of the top 3 deadly diseases in this country, heart disease, cancer, and stroke, can be traced back to long term stress and inflammation. If you can reduce the level of stress and inflammation in your body you will in turn decrease the likelihood of manifesting these diseases. We are providers for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare, United Healthcare and PHCS/Multi Plan. Most other insurances are accepted as well. We will bill your insurance directly. This past summer I became one of the little old ladies in the bathroom who fell and couldnt get up. I was taken to the emergency room at the hospital - told no broken bones, given Motrine and sent home to sit for 6 to 8 weeks. It took 10 days and an MRI to find out that 4 disks in my lower back were bulging out and into 4 separate nerves including the sciatic nerve. I couldnt walk, I could barely move, every fraction of an inch was excruciating. I found out these results on a Friday night, and my friend, Kimberly came over and called Dr. Matteo for me.
Dr. Sean Matteo was available to talk to me and could see me the next morning if my body allowed me the visit. I was there - that first visit was scary. It was looking like I needed an orthopedic surgeon and when Dr. Sean was done with the first session, I was in more pain than when I arrived. BUT - several hours later at home, I was doing much better. Bones were back where they belonged, so much of the
pain I was living with was gone. (So much so, I could give up the painkillers.) I felt like a miracle had taken place.
If it wasnt for Dr. Sean, Id probably still be immobilized wondering what the Motrine would do for me...
Its been taking time, but Im almost 100% better. Dr. Sean, THANK YOU. If no one has told you lately -- You are wonderful.

I had severe lower back pain and REFUSED to use medications. The chiropractic care I receive from Dr. Sean keeps me 100% during my busy work weeks and gets me back on the golf course on the weekends!

I am afflicted with rheumatoid arthritis, and I have been suffering from adrenal malfunctioning for months, without proper treatment; all my health issues are systemic, and had not been treated at the source. My conventional ( while very good) Primary Physician ignored my pleas for adrenal gland testing, and my symptoms only advanced. I am in such a happier & healthier place already, & look forward to improved health.
Dr. Matteo is not the type of doctor to attempt to encourage his clientele into the latest gimmick/fad; he only treats his patients w/ the proper protocol, based on individual needs!
